Privacy policy

HabitDots is a habit tracker for Android made by Furqatbek Mashrabjonov, an independent developer in Uzbekistan ("we"). This policy explains what the app does with your data. The short version: your habits stay on your phone unless you turn on sync, and we never sell or share them.
Data that stays on your phone
Your habits, their check-ins, notes, tasks, reminders and settings are stored only on your device. We cannot see them. Backups you export are files you control.
Optional sync (HabitDots Pro)
If you choose to sign in with Google to sync between phones, we use Google Firebase to store:
- your Google account's name, email address and a user ID (Firebase Authentication), to know which data is yours;
- a copy of your habits (name, icon, schedule and settings), the days you checked them and your notes on those days (Cloud Firestore).
Tasks are not synced. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest by Google, and only your account can read it. Sync is off until you sign in, and you can sign out at any time.
Purchases
HabitDots Pro is sold through Google Play. Google handles payment; we never receive your card or payment details. The app only learns whether your account owns Pro.
What we don't do
- No ads and no advertising IDs.
- No analytics, tracking or crash reporting SDKs.
- We do not sell, rent or share your data with anyone.
Permissions
Notifications and exact alarms are used only for the reminders you set. Internet access is used only for sync and Google Play purchases.
Keeping and deleting your data
Synced data is kept while your account exists. You can delete your account and its cloud copy at any time from the app (Settings, Sync, Delete account) or by email; see Delete account. Uninstalling the app removes the data on your phone.
Children
HabitDots is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above.
